Care Guides

Beach Master Tote Bag

Heavy 16oz canvas is built to last for years. A little care keeps it looking good and holding its shape.

Everyday care

  • Shake out sand, crumbs and debris after each use.
  • Empty the pockets before storing it.
  • Let the bag dry completely before folding it away if it gets wet. Canvas stored damp can develop mildew.

Spot cleaning (recommended first)

  • Dab marks with a damp cloth and a little mild soap or washing-up liquid.
  • Work from the outside of the stain inwards. Don't scrub hard, as this can roughen the canvas.
  • Rinse with a clean damp cloth and air dry.

Machine washing

  • Turn the bag inside out and empty all pockets.
  • Wash at 30°C maximum on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
  • Wash with similar colours. Coloured canvas can release dye, especially in the first few washes.
  • No bleach and no fabric softener. Softener breaks down the canvas fibres and makes the bag floppy.

Drying

  • Reshape the bag while it's damp and air dry it flat or hanging.
  • Don't tumble dry. Heat can shrink cotton canvas and weaken the seams.
  • Dry it out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.

Stains

Stain What to do
Grease or food Apply washing-up liquid directly, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
Mud or sand Let it dry fully, then brush off before cleaning.
Mildew Sponge with 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water, then air dry in the sun.
Ink Dab with rubbing alcohol on a cloth. Test on a hidden area first.

Storage

  • Store it folded flat or hanging, in a dry place.
  • Don't store it in plastic bags long term, as canvas needs to breathe.

Carrying heavy loads

  • Lift by both handles when the bag is full.
  • For best results, keep loads under [X]kg.
